The Sampoerna Academy will develop and foster the following:

1. The core values of the academy

2. The personal qualities of honesty, integrity and respect for truth;

3. A lifelong love of learning in order to support the development of academic potential;


4. Respect for people from a variety of cultural and racial backgrounds and of various religious and political orientations;

5. A lasting commitment to international co-operation and an understanding of the interdependence of individuals, groups, and nations;

6. Skill and pride in developing competence in other languages other than the mother tongue;

7. An appreciation of Indonesian culture and its contribution to the heritage;

8. Care and concern for those less fortunate than themselves;

9. The determination to achieve the highest possible standards in all that they do.

To demonstrate discipline and commitment to pursue and achieve

high quality results

  • Valuing the importance of discipline in every task
  • Students are encouraged to learn about the effective use of time by prioritizing, target-setting, and meeting deadlines
  • Students are able to analyze problems from different approaches using a wide variety of resources
  • Students have opportunities to evaluate their own achievements
  • Maintaining high level of expectation


To understand and accept a common code of ethics, including

trust, honesty and valuing self and others with equal dignity

  • Understand and accept the common code of conduct of  the Sampoerna Academy
  • Uphold trust and honesty in every activity and apply the highest standard of ethics


To create opportunities through teamwork for all individuals; to

support, care, protect and help all individuals within the

Sampoerna Academy

  • Students working together as a team (year groups, vertical curriculum groups, etc) in order to achieve continuity and progression
  • Strive for partnership within students and also partnership with other schools
  • Students protect and care for each other as a part of the family of Sampoerna Academies
  • Support his/her house on competing for the best house on Sampoerna Academy


To empathize with the needs of the school,individuals, the wider

community and global concerns

  • Students perform Action and Service, as part of Learning to Live Program and Professional Skills Program activities
  • Aware of needs of others and be tolerant to differences


To explore creative and innovative ways of working with others to

implement strategies that maximize educational opportunities

  • Students show creativity and commitment to the Learning to Life Program (L to L) and Professional Skills program and report their progress
  • Students able to think of different ways or approaches to solutions


To expect all individuals to be responsible for their actions

  • Student government shows transparency and responsibility in initiating student activities
  • Students understand that they are responsible for all their actions in line with the Sampoerna Academy code of conduct


To place the interest of the nation above the interest of individuals

and groups, and to support the nation’s ideology as expressed by


  • Students understand and also aware of their citizenship responsibilities
  • Celebrate independence day, national commemorative days and appreciate national heroes
  • Aware on local and national issues


To tolerate, respect and celebrate differences and diversity   in background, culture, religion, race, language and opinions of all.

  • Students able to discuss cross cultural differences
  • Students able to establish a multicultural activities
  • Tolerance of  other  religions, cultures, and ethnic background within the Sampoerna Academy family
  • Students provided options of various language skills enhancement
  • Encourage students to express their thought yet tolerate different opinion from others


To know how to and when to defend for his/her beliefs, and to be

responsible risk-takers

  • Students are able to express opinions, thoughts and discuss these with others
  • Aware of risk with every action and understand risk management strategies
